Super Bad Ads Cookie Policy

Effective: April 26, 2025. Last updated: July 16, 2026.

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Super Bad Ads ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies (like pixels, tags, and identification scripts) on our websites, including https://superbadads.com and its subdomains (such as we-are.superbadads.com and hs.superbadads.com). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, which provide more detailed information about how we handle personal data.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

  • First-party cookies: Set by the website owner (Super Bad Ads) or by scripts we run on our site.
  • Third-party cookies and scripts: Set or operated by parties other than Super Bad Ads (e.g., Google, Meta, HubSpot, Retention.com/RB2B, LiveIntent).
  • Session cookies: Expire when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies: Remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.

3. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

We only place non-essential cookies after you give consent through our cookie banner. Our banner uses four categories, and each category controls the tools listed below. Declining a category prevents those tools from loading.

  • Necessary: Essential for the website to function (e.g., security, bot protection, remembering your consent choices). These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics: Help us understand how visitors use our website. Tools: HubSpot analytics and Google Analytics 4. If you accept only Analytics, the advertising and identification tools below do not load.
  • Advertisement: Used to measure and improve our own advertising, build advertising audiences, and identify business visitors. Tools: Google Ads conversion tracking (including Enhanced Conversions), the Meta (Facebook) pixel with Advanced Matching, and the RB2B / Retention.com visitor-identification script (which works with its partner LiveIntent). With your consent, these tools may receive identifiers such as click IDs and — when you submit a form — a hashed version of your email address and phone number, for conversion measurement and audience building. Their use constitutes "sharing" (and may constitute "selling") under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA), which triggers opt-out rights described in Section 5.
  • Functionality: Remember choices you make to personalize your experience (e.g., HubSpot tools such as forms and, if enabled, chat).

3a. Visitor Identification (RB2B / Retention.com)

With your Advertisement consent, we use RB2B (Retention.com), a visitor-identification service, together with its identity partner LiveIntent. When it runs, RB2B may associate your visit with personal information its data partners already hold about you — such as your name, business email address, and company — and provide that information to us so we can follow up with relevant business communications. RB2B also uses supporting services to operate (for example, IP-based geolocation). This processing only occurs if you consent to the Advertisement category, and you can opt out at any time: use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our footer, or opt out directly with the vendor at https://app.retention.com/optout (GDPR: https://www.rb2b.com/rb2b-gdpr-opt-out).

4a. Form Data Used for Conversion Measurement

If you have consented to Advertisement cookies and you submit a form on our site, we transmit your email address and phone number to Google (Enhanced Conversions) and Meta (Advanced Matching) so those platforms can measure our advertising conversions more accurately. These values are hashed (converted to a non-reversible code) before or upon transmission by the platforms' standard mechanisms. We also store hashed (SHA-256) copies in the first-party cookies sba_em and sba_ph (90 days) to support this measurement — the plain values are not stored in these cookies. In addition, our customer-relationship system (HubSpot) may transmit lead and customer conversion events to Meta server-to-server (Conversions API) for the same measurement purpose.

5. Your Choices and Managing Cookies

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies (other than strictly necessary ones). Non-essential cookies are not placed without your opt-in consent.

  • Cookie Consent Banner: On your first visit you can accept all, decline all non-essential, or choose categories. To change or withdraw consent at any time, use the "Cookie Settings" link in the website footer.
  • Do Not Sell or Share (US state privacy laws, incl. CCPA/CPRA): Our use of advertising and visitor-identification technologies constitutes "sharing" and may constitute "selling" of personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To opt out, use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our website footer (it opens the same preference center — declining the Advertisement category effects the opt-out), or see our Privacy Policy for more options.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor GPC signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, non-essential cookies are automatically declined on our site and you will see a notice confirming this.
  • Vendor-direct opt-outs: RB2B / Retention.com: https://app.retention.com/optout (GDPR: https://www.rb2b.com/rb2b-gdpr-opt-out). Google: https://adssettings.google.com. Meta: https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences.
  • Browser Settings: Most browsers allow some control of cookies through settings. Blocking all cookies (including strictly necessary ones) may affect site functionality.

6. Third-Party Cookies

Third parties set cookies and receive data through our website as described above: Google (Analytics and Ads), Meta, HubSpot, RB2B / Retention.com and its partners (including LiveIntent and supporting infrastructure providers). We do not control these third parties' own use of data. We encourage you to review their privacy policies: Google (policies.google.com/privacy), Meta (facebook.com/privacy/policy), HubSpot (legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy), Retention.com (retention.com/privacy), LiveIntent (liveintent.com/services-privacy-policy).

6

7. Cross-Domain Measurement

Our analytics and advertising tags link visits across our own domains (superbadads.com, we-are.superbadads.com, hs.superbadads.com) so that a session that starts on one of our domains and continues on another is measured as one visit. Your consent choice applies across these domains.

8. Policy Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please revisit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies. The date at the top indicates when it was last updated.
